Hi there, my OH is a governer at a primary school and they are looking to get the kids into growing some herbs which they can then sell to parents to make some extra money.. any suggestions of where to find reasonably priced/ cheap herb seeds... we popped to our local Horticultural Hut today and they dont sell them.

Many Thanks
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

    Hi

I have quite a few herb seeds that I won't be using, if you want to pm me your address I will get them in the post to you. I can post them to the school if you don't want to send me your home address, or a work address?

Ask you other half if he feels happy posting your school address on here and I am sure other members could send you their unwanted seeds, after all, it's the cost of a stamp and for a good cause.

    ;)

    Good luck!

They definitely were selling them in Wilkinson on Thursday, but I can't remember the price, sorry.

    Hi

If you have any Pound or 99p shops locally you can get a pack of 6 different herb seeds for (yes you guessed it) £1 or 99p.

Why not get them growing other plants as well - lettuce / salad leaves / peppers etc again all available as above

    Happy growing

Aldi and Lidl have cheap seeds. Aldi had some around 30p a pack, and I am sure there was a basil and a corinander.

    Got it!

Will be in the post to you this week.

I'm sure other members can help, a 2nd class stamp doesn't cost much and seed packets sometimes contain a lot more than we need.

    ;)

They're a school and they don't know how to obtain free seeds from the local garden centre? confused-smiley-017.gif

Sponsorship. I'm sure they'd do it if the school were to put the company name on every letter sent home. They'd be mad not to!

Thanks for that the only trouble is its quite a way to the nearest garden centre and so they wouldnt really be their local school but I can get him to have a look about.

Going to have a trip to the 99p store on Wednesday I think:)
