while sitting in the back of a cab yesterday i heard the dj say anyone having the old brick type phones 10 years or older are now worth lots of money. i couldnt hear it all properly as the radio was quite low but he went on to say the old motorla flip, first of its kind now worth £200 and any basic brick worth over £100. i cant find anymore info on it but wondered if anyone on here has heard similar and can me to appropriate info please?

The presenter did not know his topic. If you have something like an analogue car phone in new condition with packaging it may be worth the amounts you talk about.
The flip phones, and I think you are referring to the first Motorola Startac, were so widely produced they are barely worth anything.
I still have one of my first phones - the Nokia 101, which is even on display in the Museum of London. Barely worth anything though as they were all mass produced. Mine still works and comes up with the old 0374 number when you turn it on, no analogue network left to connect it to though.0 -
