One of the best pages on the net (other than MSE!) I've seen is the following:
http://www.techsupportalert.com/best_46_free_utilities.htm
which as the name suggests, lists the best free programs in 46 categories. Still not enough? Well look here for an additional 44 categories:
http://www.techsupportalert.com/more/extended.htm
Its updated every couple of months so well worth checking back. Why pay when you can have it for free?
Garcia.
P.S. if you found this post useful please click thanks. If you found this post offensive pleast click thanks also.

Yikes!! Thanks Browntoa. Talk about history repeating itself.
In my defense at least 3 people found it useful. And none of the previous posters linked to the extended list (45-90).
But I take your point.0 -
I hadn't seen the earlier threads, so I found it useful. Thanks Garcia
Perhaps it should be added as a sticky?

I agree - it would be a good sticky.0

Thanks for the support guys. One thing is for sure if it was made a sticky it wouldn't have to be reposted.0

Another vote for a sticky. Really good.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

probably won't end up as a "sticky" I'm afraid, they try to keep them to a minimumEx forum ambassador
