Sky+ Installation horrors

I would just like to share my experience with Sky+ installation for anyone thinking of signing up in the northumberland area.
4 cancelled appointments(some on the day of installation)
5 days lost pay (unable to rearrange work after cancellations)
24 phone calls (0844 nos)
Some v disinterested Sky tel operators
No apology from Sky engineers(the same one thru all this episode)
Old aerial parts discarded into the garden
Sky engineers (hoodie,chavas)blatently lying to sky and us
One letter sent to Sky so far detailing every call/incident,awaiting reply

Has anyone else had experience of Sky's GREAT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.
And of any recompense?

    A prerequisite of being an engineer is going to university and getting a degree.

    I worked for Sky as an Engineer after redundency from NTL/VM where I was a Service Engineer,I probably have more Q's than a gaggle of Sky installers..(and better than them too)

    I did not go to uni to get my Q's,mine were gained while working for NTL/VM.I am also a licenced Aeronautical Engineer.

    engineer = no degree
    Engineer = Qualified
    Sky = Installers

    At the moment I am an engineer in 3 months I will be an Engineer... hopefully.

    I dont believe that is the case.
    Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

    Possibly, but probably not if you haven't been to Uni, wasn't a personal attack on you or anyone, just the fact that throwing up sky dishes with four bolts (or 3;)) does not an engineer nor Engineer make.

    Maybe not but when VM put your dept on 30 days notice,you have to take what's going.And Sky was what was going at the time.

    Installers = anybody who applies
    It's someone else's fault.
