Oooh Susie, please tell me all about it on my thread (My Caribbean wedding...) as I'm getting married there in February!
Very pretty dress too!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Bought off E bay - I got married in the Dominican May 2006.
Where abouts did you get married? It looks like puerto plata Golden beach holiday village there where we went on holiday on 2007 - it was amazing.:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

Hi
Please check out USA prices for this dress (which is the one my daughter got married in recently). She tried it on here, then ordered the right size from a bridal shop in New York. Total price inc. p&p, less than 250 pounds.0 -
This is mine, A Sottero & Midgley ASM3158. Was told £1005 but got it for £785. I am going to try it on tomorrow and pick it up, bit excited and a bit nervous as i'm 2 lbs over when i ordered it ;-(
PS It looks much better when there isn't a model doing silly poses in it!!

Dress number 17048 9 18 (4th in top row) is very, very similar but 'mine' doesn't have beading on the straps, doesn't have the silly wafty bit at the neck/back and does have a train! I say 'mine' but I haven't actually bought it yet and am dithering. Going to try it on for second time tomorrow (if it hasn't been sold!) and make a more unemotional decision than the first time I tried it!

Picked mine yesterday, finally. The ladies in the shop panic when I say its 6 months 2 weeks away, and they're thinking 'thats only 2 weeks for alterations, thats not much time!'
This is it.
Having tulle straps added as I feel too naked without straps!
OMG Dinah - that's gorgeous!
Sorry this is so far along! Just been catching up on this thread! If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -

Maggie Sottero / Sottero and Midgley have an amazing ability to not quite do their dresses justice on the website, don't they? This is mine:

This is mine, it's a Maggie Sottero, not a bit like what I thought I would buy, but fits like a glove, felt fantastic & was too much of a bargain not to buy! It is an ex-sample, an original would have been £1000, that was on sale for £300, however, after trying a few dresses & then retrying this one, the girl in the shop said 'take it today as we need the space & it's yours for £100!' I am going to have a hook up thingy put on the train & have it cleaned, even though it's spotless (it's the OCD in me!). It's growing on me by the day! Just can't decide whether to have the sleeves taken off or not? I'm thinking that I probably will!?! Maybe!!??:heartpuls dawnebabe :heartpuls0
