  • Thankyou!
I'm having it customized I think, having a bit of sparkle and beading in the roses, bling it up a bit!

It is a bow, it goes from the top of the dress to the waist, it really does stand out! The rest of the dress is lace and sequins.

think this one is what i'm going to finally go for - Maggie Sottero - Adelaide
    http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=A3157

i've only been to one bridal shop (but did manage 9 dresses in and hour and half :rotfl:) so i'm determined to go to a few more and try on some different dresses just to make sure that the "adelaide" is the one.

although i was quoted 1300 euro (or basically £ at this rate) for the dress and i've been given a price of £850 in another shop. there also is a shop who's having a maggie weekend where if you order your dress you can be put in a draw to win the wedding dress (how MSE would that be!)

going to phone round a few more suppliers and see what their prices are like and then prepare to haggle like a demon to get a few more quid off it!

if anyone however knows of a maggie adelaide in diamond white (size 14 or 16) going for a better price let me know :j

    This is us last saturday
I couldn't afford a UK dress especially not in my size being a big girl so I bought mine from Ebay from a Chinese seller for £90 inc shipping. I think you'll agree it was fab for the dosh. you can't see the embroidery on that pic either. which was gorgeous all the silver with beads and sequins

cant get my laptop to cooperate with me today but if you google ellis bridal 11125 you'll find it! fell in love with it in the shop but it was over budget then frannyann found me one on preloved (thank you!) but in the end my mum paid for my dress :) was completely unexpected and very emotional moment we both had a little cry
