Thanks hon. I didn't want a strapless one but they seem to be in the majority - feel much more sescure in a halter neck! Not at all what I thought I'd get - was planning on grecian floaty thing (beach wedding) but it changed my mind. x

I got my dress today eeek! Was at a bridal fayre on Thursday and one of the shop exhibiting there mentioned they were having a sample sale today so went along. It's a Blu by Madeline Gardner (Mori Lee) style 4527 (mine is ivory). To be honest I am not even that keen on it in the pictures from the website, doesnt do it justice. It has quite sparkly beading over lace on the bust and sparkly beading all down the train. It's really flattering to, I love it! And the best bit, it is in perfect condition not a mark on it, got it for £499 instead of £995 - yay! :j:j:j

omg i love that dress toothfairy..if i had the budget thats the sort of thing id go for!

I havent got a dress yet...i have a cousin making mine, ima bit worried tho as i dont know what it will look like on till its done.
im 5ft2 and size 20 and am debating a knee length 50's style vneck dress with teal/blue petticoat and teal shoes :)
Thats still in debate tho...i might play it safe and just go for a full length vneck! but im not sure eeeekkkk...my budget is about 100 :)

It wasn't what i originally thought of as it has a massive train! But it just looked right and i fell in love with it!

It cost £1020! (Also not what i wanted to spend but hey ho!)

    It's Georgia by Pronovias

Have you considered going out and trying on some dresses in bridal shops and then seeing which dress suits you best? When I went out, I never had any intentions of walking away with a dress. I knew what I wanted and seen it straight away, but I planned on getting one offline for about a fifth of the price of mine! When I tried it on I loved it, and knew it was 'the one', but I was I still open minded and then tried on dresses I never thought I would like and it surpises you by how different they are when their on! I would go and get a few different styles of dress, try them on and then you will get an idea of what you prefer :)

    Hi All,

Im thinking of going for a maggie sottereo - Davida.

Its not as 'poofy' as id like, Can anyone suggest a petticoat? or show me a pic of it with more volume? Thanks x

Toothfairy4 Love your dress so much I've just booked an appointment to try it on! Though at that price I'm half hoping it doesn't suit me!
