free or cheap installation for sky hd

i am an existing sky plus customer and i want to upgrade to sky hd, i know that hd boxes are now free but i am unwilling to pay 60 pounds installation as i payed £160 pounds last year for install and box.
any help in getting FREE OR CHEAP install info would be much appreciated

Highly doubtful you'll get the box and install for free. You may get it reduced by saying you're leaving.

The problem is, Sky have had such a large uptake for HD, they don't need to offer any more incentives than they have already.

I have just e mailed their escalations department and asked for them to waiver the 60 quid. Asked them to show a bit of loyalty towards long standing customer.

I am willing to leave for a few weeks and go back for free or look at virgin as I have them for my phone and broadband.

Phatom Flan Flinger is right in part about the uptake. However you also need to consider why they are offering the HD box for free.Ther is a recession and even big companies like sky need to generate new business as well as retain its current cutomers.

I have read on previous threads that sky have a department which deals with nothing other than retaining customers who want to leave.

I would be asking them to waive the connection fee and show a bit of loyalty back.Failing that let your feet do the talking and walk elsewhere.
