Weighed myself this morning and I've lost the 2lbs I put on over Easter, so pleased about that :j
b - skipped (oops)
l - tuna sandwich, melon and half a slice of ginger cake
s - walkers baked crisps
t - beans on toast, 2 jaffa cakes.
I need to force myself to eat breakfast, I'm really bad at that.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi all, well done all losers.
food today has been:
b: two shredded wheat with raisins and oat milk
s: um a taxi bar
l: left over casserole with barley, veg and butterbeans
s: grapes and peach slices
d: hm fish pie with courgettes and tinned carrots
um a teacake.
Ok so I'm a greedy piggy
Just acquired some of the sw stuff from ebay. Seems all this talk of free food and not counting things isn't quite accurate - cue 84 pages of syn values to count
Plus most of my food today isn't free at all - not even breakfast that comes to about 12 ... and the teacake could be anything up to 10 depending on its weight - and the taxi bar 5 - and the marshmallows I munched all day yesterday are 1 each!!! - so keeping to 15 a day could be a bit tricky for me!!
Guess I will be spending tomorrow counting up and working out what breakfast I can have without having to cook bacon and egg each morning (which seems bizarre that its "free" as long as any fat is cut off and no fat is added to cook it) - 28g of cereal seems a bit on the stingy side for the healthy extra but guess I can top it up with a nice crisp salad or some boiled veg :rotfl:
yeah I know, I need to be a bit stingy if I want to actually lose some of the flab.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Morning all - gosh our little happy band of dieters is growing! The more the merrier and it means more hints and tips coming in.
Well I stuck to my menu yesterday and snacks were restricted to grapes and satsumas. Apart from a bag of Aldi's Cheese Curls but, as they are only 64 cals a bag, I don't think they are too naughty! Much kinder than a bag of crisps.
Just worked out today's eats:
B Porridge with mixed berries
L Granary roll with thin ham & salad and a bowl of my HM Tomato & Basil soup. Sugar free jelly with raspberries & LF fromage frais.
D Jacket potato with prawns and a big salad. Individual meringue (50 cals) topped with strawberries & blueberries & a WW yogurt.
Snacks (hopefully) to be grapes and satsumas again. Instead of coffee I am drinking fruit teas - more refreshing & less calories!
Have a good day everybody, have the willpower to say no to anything fattening and see you tomorrow!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Slowlyfading well done on your loss!
I weighed this morning, lost 2lb off my May 7lb target so well pleased about that and keeps me motivated (I lose the will quickly if I don't see results!), hopefully enuogh so to get my out to do my run this evening despite the fact that I have a rotten cold and feel like poo!
No idea what food will be today as we are with family for BIL birthday (cake, nibbles, general 'bad' food!) but I will try my best to resist, having a cold will help there I think. Don't know if we'll be home in time for proper dinner, so I expect DH will have some junk from the freezer like battered fish or chicken nuggets and I will have my veg soup! (Suits me, suits him lol)
Need to decide on breakfast now, sore throat not helping... I know I must eat but I just don't feel like itJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Lots to read this morning thanks everyone. It's like having a slimming club meeting every day, we have to succeed with all of this support don't we?
Newlywed, I know what you mean about about SW seeming very unlikely but it does work. I just didn't find it very practical...like no milk with cereal in the morning which was my nobrainer when I was dashing around getting ready for work. I seem to remember eating a lot of cottage cheese with fruit for breakfast or lunch. Easy to transport and actually I enjoyed it and found it filling. (Tesco did different flavours with pineapples, prawns, cheese and chives etc for a few more pennies which I though was worth it) I'm not sure if you had to count those though? Will have to dig the books out.
Working with 'bad influences', I found that saying that you were 'allergic' or under medical advice helped which is true really! People tend not to push you then and I found that I couldn't give in then when they were around!:D
Good luck everyone and yes, I did do better yesterday:TThe beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

Vixtress well done on your 2lb loss, great start to the month!
Did my second C25K session, thought I was going to faint half way through but carried on and actually I feel better now than when I got up so (despite hubby saying I shouldn't do it when I'm ill) very proud of myself!:T
Breakfast was 2 slices of granary toast, with marmite, cheese spread and a slice of ham for protein. With a milky coffee. Should keep my going til lunch.
Good luck everyone, have a good day and those who find weekends tricky... BE STRONG, YOU CAN DO IT!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Very well done to everyone who's lost weight this week! :T
I had my weekly weigh in this morning and, as I suspected, I'm exactly the same as I was last week. That doesn't bode well for the May challenge, and is particularly annoying as I was so sure I was going to make my first mini-target that I've already ordered my reward off the internet.
I'll just have to lock it away when it arrives, until I actually reach the target!
I strongly intend to get things moving again this week, by having:- no butter or dressings
- no snacks except fruit and veg
- small portions (I've been quite good on that front this week, but need to keep it up)
- three 'treats' for the week, to keep my spirits up - but no more than 3!
Brunch - baked beans on two slices of brown toast (no butter, which is a great sacrifice as I adore hot buttered toast); two mini pears
Snack - a piece of fruit of some kind
Dinner - healthy mushroom pizza (base made with half brown flour, topped with a small quantity of LF mozzarella); tomato and basil salad; [STRIKE]glass of wine or cider (the first of the week's treats)[/STRIKE] scrap that - much though I fancy a glass of wine, I really don't need a treat today: I'll have a glass of low cal sparkling fruit drink instead :A
Exercise - I'm going to spring clean the living room once I can drag myself away from the forum, and I've got to walk up to the shops later as I'm nearly out of coffee.
ragz - hope you feel better soon - colds are such miserable things, aren't they?Back after a very long break!0
