I agree with Black Rat.

The slip rule is all very well and good but how many possible vehicles could share those digits with you, and how many of those may be the same make and/or model

I have seen at least three other Vectras with the same first half of the reg as mine so how on earth could anybody prove it was my car on the day in this case?

Maybe worth contacting the local police to tell them then? Like I said, they may have the whole of your boyfriends registration on their part.

I always make sure I press really hard with my pen, as it is quite awkward because as you say spaniel, the tickets are a funny plasticy material!

Lolly333, police cant issue parking tickets as such, but if a vehicle is causing an obstruction then they can. We wont issue tickets for overstaying a parking regulation, just when someone is breaking the law.
