As you know, advising debtors to borrow money from others is totally against OFT Guidelines.

make a formal complaint to AIC as well.

Natty, I just won £150 compensation, via a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman, from a particularly nasty Debt Collection outfit for doing just that!

edit; if you need a hand with the Complaint then I'm happy to help.

I thought they had breached regulations asking me to borrow money off family etc.. Having read about regulations in another post.

Pepe i will need your help.

    So far i need to do the following;

1.) Send request for CAA to Triton ONLY!

2.) Send letter to AIC asking them to put any corres in writing (Is this ok even after only 1 call I have made to them?)

3.) Send letter of complaint to AIC about call I made to them today.

    4.) Report them to Ombudsman

    Is this correct?

No doubt I will need help on this Pepe

I am going to take a break from this now for a couple of hours. Just not good for your health is it....

I will be back later and would really appreciate any help and guidance. The kindness of others always astounds me, especially when they are total strangers.

    thank you all so much

There's a pdf of the OFT's Debt Collection Guidance here:

    http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/consumer_credit/oft664.pdf

It's very easy to understand. So easy that I'm surprised debt collection agencies find it so difficult to follow!

FB thanks for your help, I am just extremly vunerable at the moment. And these people have succeeded i what they set out to do, that is to scare the hell out of me.

I have had a sleepless night just worrying about all this. I have had some wonderful geniune responses from people i do not even now. (WHICH HAS ASTOUNDED ME)

Even though these people do not have my work contact number, they now know the company I work for, so i am absolutley petrified they will contact me there.

I will do my letters today and get them off recorded delivery tomorrow.

Many thsnks again for the support

    RAS & Pepe

Please can you help with a letter of complaint to AIC, for the breach of code they made in asking me to borrow money to pay off the loan?

Sorry to bother but I want to get all my letters off tomorrow.

That would also contravene the OFT Guidelines. They are only allowed to contact you at work at your request.

And if they do, send the telephone letter and demand they remove the number from their database.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
