sorry cani! it's here on a spreadsheet and I think we've cracked it... Although we need firefox/HGL whomever to help us see if we've allowed enough wiggle room for calcium lost to Oxylic acid also being present :)

Was that all just Greek to you?

I am completely lost. :( Mysupermarket has the spread as 15% buttermilk and Asda as 5% but I am sure I haven't used either of those figures ... I had in my head 28% but where on earth did I get that from???? My brain is fried and I an not making any sense so stick me on ignore overnight ....

It's Asda you butter believe it which is 28%! Donkey. But therefore the Asda spread contains more calcium!!

Sorry, I think that sounded a bit patronising:o, that's not how I see you at all :)

It is indeedy lovely to have ISOM at hand. She will now come on and tell you she is v good at baking testing and ferg-sitting, but her eyes roll into the back of her head if I so much as show her a spreadsheet ;):).

I think she likes maths more than she makes out :)

125g of sugar is perfectly fine in the fruit loaf
If we go with 125g then, we will be left with 1018g sugar. (This only includes the recipes listed before, though, so the garibaldi biscuits still need to come out of that.)

By the way, the small honey deficit can be eliminated by using a conversion rate of 1 tbsp = 32g instead of the 34g that Weezl used. Sounds plausible, having checked various online conversion tables -- most suggest a lower weight still. This conversion rate would convert to 96g honey per batch of cereal bars. It would help further to drop the honey from the roast pork, because then we could use 100g honey for each the four batches of cereal bars, and the scrapings of the jar for the turkey drumsticks. Just a thought.

plus I'm kinda coming round to thinking of rubber chicken as the sunday dinners, cos then we get at least one other meal out of the chicken plus no more need for stock cubes :) so no honey need for the roast meals then methinks...

oh and weezl, re: the chicken

P.S., I would never ever have the room to store all the milk in our standard fridge/freeze, but we drink UHT so extra gets stored in the cupboards anyway (honestly, it doesn't that bad folks! :o)

I buy fresh semi skimmed for the boys (well, dh and ds) to have on cereal. We are used to UHT skimmed in tea and I use milk powder for all cooking. It's light, it keeps well and I believe it's quite economical.

Yer, I've got some random fruity herby type teabags kicking around as well.
