e-Rewards (air miles)

Air miles offered me to join e-rewards (a survey website) where you gain points for opinion surveys which you can exchange for air miles when you get 2000 points. Sounded good and got off to a good start with frequent surveys building up points (some quite time consuming)
Snag is ..... if you don't use the points within a year or so, they take away 75% of your earned points
Then the surveys started to dry up long before I could reach even the minimum 2000 points for 50 air miles.
I am beginning to think I have been the victim of a scam scheme whereby they get paid for your opinion but they ensure you can't earn enough points to claim the airmiles - a win win situation for them and a big looser for me.
A google check on "e-rewards scam waste of time" comes up with loads of hits and lots of dissatisfied survey takers - mainly in America.
I have complained to e-Rewards and Air Miles - so far with pretty luke warm responses.
Anyone else on here tried it or had cause for complaint? We could start a pressure group if there's a few of us.
Thanks.

I heard of many similar complaints through the BMI frequent flyer community on FlyerTalk. You have to have a LOT of spare time to complete enough surveys to earn enough points. I wouldn't waste my time; most airline credit cards offer better and quicker ways to earn stacks of air miles.0

Many thanks for that James. So, I'm far from the only one dissatisfied with e-Rewards. I wonder how many more there are out there.
I've forwarded that link to e-Rewards as well - they said they'd forward the google search link I sent previously to their management, so I'll wait and see what transpires.0 -
I have been signed up to e-rewards for a little while, recently redeemed my points for VS FC miles, quite happy with mine.0

Sounds like you are a lucky one xy, I see from links elsewhere that some people have "pretended" to own businesses, fly business class etc etc in order to get more surveys which they then "fib" about to get the points. I decided at the outset not to try that one on, in case I got mixed up about my identity if they did cross checks. It seems they don't but I thought my interests were varied enough to get plenty surveys without telling any "porkies", perhaps honesty doesn't pay off?0 -
I've been with this website for years, and only managed to earn enough points for one reward. I get annoyed as you often can spend 15 mins on a survey only to be told you don't qualify. Conversely I'm with another online survey site where I get roughly one survey per day and routinely redeem rewards.Legal team on standby0
