I thought our delivery driver was on a fun run or something :p

Ran to the door, knocked once, shoved a card in and legged it. They then said I have to come and collect the package from the depo 20 miles away - without a car  - so I cancelled the order with the supplier and got a full refund and went elsewhere :T simples!

Citylink has changed their policy around this area, now they won't accept a note giving authorisation to leave the parcel in a secure location, so unless I take a day off work on unpaid leave looks like anything getting sent via Citylink from now on will go back to the company sending it as 'undeliverable', it's a good 100 mile round trip to their depot, and for an item worth under £10 it's just not worth the trip.

And delivering it to my place of work won't work as there is no guarantee I will be in the office when the guys at the front gate phone the office.

(I can see why they want a signature, they have probably had their fingers burnt recently when people claim they never got the parcels, it's just annoying. At least with royal mail I can collect after-work as the sorting office is on the way home.)

I am so, so cross with this company!

I got burgled last week and after sorting out my insurance claim I ordered a new netbook and iPod touch from Amazon. I paid over £8 for guaranteed delivery by 1pm.

My OH has been in all day - no sign of them. I checked their website and they claim to have attempted delivery at 6pm. Well, we were both in by then, and nobody came to the door and there is no card left!

Now they say they will deliver on Monday. If I don't get my stuff then I will be cancelling it - it's over £400 worth of stuff, maybe then Amazon will get the message that this company is not worth using.

Will second the 'City Link suck' comment. Was expecting a parcel delivery today. A City Link van pulls up outside my house (no other cars in the road). One of the guys gets out, goes to the back of the van, takes out a parcel & walks down the road with it to one of my neighbours' houses. I thought, ok maybe it's not my parcel then. He then attempts to put a 'while you were out card' through my other neighbour's door (property is currently empty), so I rushed out to tell him.

His reply was: 'Oh you are in then, I just tried knocking'. He didn't, as I had watched him pull up. He then went & got the parcel back off my neighbour. When he came back, he couldn't get in my gate (something he'd obviously had to have done if he HAD knocked on the door).

I don't understand why the need to lie??
