New 070 Scam targeting mobile

There is a new 070 scam which is targeting mobiles.
Your phone will ring for one ring, and then hang up. The number shown as a missed call starts with 070. However if you return the call the calls are charged either as a 50p fixed fee connection charge, or as 50p per minute.
Please note these charges are based on BT charges when using a BT landline. The costs when using your mobile could be much higher.
BT's special numbers can be found at http://www.downloads.bt.com/b4b/pdf/SpecialisedNos.pdf

Sorry no, but my mobile rings on average once per day, and they are always from 070 numbers, and all hang-up within 1 ring. This can't be a coincidence !!!meandu229 wrote:you have a link to where you got this info?0 -
I had a call like this on my mobile the other evening. It rang about 2 or 3 times, then the person hung up. When I checked the number it was 090*** number.
Needless to say I did NOT phone back, and they have not bothered me since then

i have had similar calls from 070 number on several occasions, and i have never called back.0
