Change of name after marriage - any problems?

Keeping eBay/PayPal/bank all linked together was my main concern - my husband covers bills like insurance so I don't need to worry about that. The Dorothy Perkins palaver was a strange one! Guess I'll just sign up again and take advantage of any "new customer" offers they have.

I'm changing from a student to normal current account with my bank in the next few months, so I'll look into changing my name officially then since I'll have new bank details as well.

I had no problems changing paypal at all.

Driving license was one of the first things I did and I think I just had to send a scan of that, a scan of a bank card and a scan of marriage certificate. It was changed on the same day!

I just took my (only) marriage certificate to my bank and filled in a change of detail form, and all my linked accounts (loans/child accounts) were changed within a few days.

I didn't bother with Paypal as I wasn't prepared to send them a copy of my marriage certificate as I didn't feel it was any of their business! I managed to change my name on ebay easily enough but personally thought Paypal had a nerve to ask to see my certificate - it's not like they're even important!!! TBH it's not necessary to change your name with them as I can still use paypal in my maiden name with no issues. Most companies happily changed my name after a single phone call. Don't forget to change any loyalty cards you may have.
