I think she meant general balloons rather than the foil 40th ones Beanie, but I will check with her - thanks hon. How're you today?
Bunny, stop thanking me you nutter. :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Snags - good luck with 8 miler - you should be fine to build up further but be very careful if you are also dieting (especially if its a vcld) because you can faint due to low blood sugar...0

Snags-I agree with Becky-you have to be careful with VLCD and lots of activity.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0

I'll be careful, I promise.
I don't think I stick to it well enough for it to be considered a VLDC
which is probably why my losses have been steady and I'm not having difficulty with the running. I'm usually powered by jaffa cakes when I run...they are vastly underestimated as a health food... :rotfl:
I've mapped out a really nice circular route for the 8 miler, which can be cut short at 5 and 7 miles if I've had enough, although if I can't run any more, I'll try to just walk the rest. Wont beat myself up if I can't run the whole thing first time, I'll just run the same route until I can.
It is rather undulating, but the worst hill is at about 3 miles, when I will be warmed up but not too tired. Hoping it wont be too painful!

8 should be okay - its more when you get into 12+ plus that it starts to really hurt until you get used to it - remember not to exceed the 10% rule if you can and only add 2 miles a week and have a drop week once every 4, so you might do:
8, 10, 12, 8, 12, 14, 16, 10 etc kind of build up0 -

Thanks, I will do that (saw you trying to sneak a 16 in....b*gger off :rotfl: only kidding
).
I'm only doing CD for another 7 weeks, so will be off it in time for the longer distances.
I want to be as well prepared as possible by September, because I would really like to enjoy it rather than just struggle round feeling like I'm dying - so is doing the odd 16 miles beforehand the way to go? OMG, that's twice as far as the longest run I've ever done (8 miles last September)!

I did steak and ale pie (made the filling in the SC) and no one in my family liked it. I now have LOADS of it in the fridge...
Have baked it with the pastry on it already-will it freeze?Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0
