Mobile Broadband Feedback Required

I have just agreed to rent my friends spare room. Unfortunately I am used to have wireless broadband provided! (spoilt I know!)
My friend doesnt have a telephone line so no broadband.
I just wondered what you thought the best deal or company to go with would be? I live in Bishops Stortford... from what I can see Vodafone and O2 coverage wouldn't be very good.

You are looking for 2100MHz UMTS masts. If there isn't one within ~ 750meters you will struggle unless you can use an external antenna or dangle it out the window etc.

You could get a prepaid 3 network dongle with a small allowance to see how you get on.

Are you upstairs and near a window? That helps with the reception. Do you watch many films, or play music and games?

I don't really play games, I sometimes play music but more often its on itunes than the internet. I'll check out that link, thanks!
I download stuff now but it's not a difficulty to stop this if I'm on a lower limit.
