Bought the satnav last december and has proved to be excellent. Ordered a NEW freeview 2 months ago and they sent a reconditioned one and that was faulty!
The new freeview has been excellent and was only £20.
So go with satnav/pda - buy new freeviewTa0 -

I'm tempted by the Portable Navigation System @ £116.99. I'm familiar with running sat nav on a pocket PC, but not a 'dedicated' Sat Nav device which this seems to be (no operating system as such?). Does anyone know if it's restricted to running the medion supplied GPS software, or if you can load alternatives on it (i.e TomTom)?0

Definately not- medion laptops can have serious build quality issues and anyway you can usually pick up a new dell dor the same price.Starting MB- looking for Raf offers.

Thanks, might go for the freeview box. Hm, can't new ones be bought for around £20.00 in supermarkets though?
Edit: Couldn't resist, ordered!0 -
Just ordered the refurbished pc- celeron 2.8ghz for £179, cheaper than a home build and can add a graphics card for £20ish from Novatech. What goes around - comes around
