Where to get party bag fillers

I have a 3 year olds birthday party soon and need to get party bags for them to take home, last year I got everything from Tesco as they did some great fillers v cheap, but ive been this year and there is basically no selection and what there is will work out very expensive (prices in there have shot up!)

I need to do 15 bags, where can i get some nice things that don't cost the earth??

Ebay do them, either shop sellers or many people who bought too many so selling the remaining.
Also depending where you are we have a store called party shop and they are very cheap.
Poundland also do party fillers in packs of 10 as does the 99p store

Have you tried asda, morrisons? they sometimes sell bits along with birthday cards etc.

These are good for things like that but I'm not sure how the prices compare.
  • A book in a paper pag with a piece of cake would make a nice party bag. The present may be something that the children can keep rather than the plastic stuff that breaks in 2 seconds. The book people does bargain mutli packs such as 8 Backyardigans books for £6.99 (sorry I can't post link as i'm new).

My local pound shop also sells pretty good childrens books and colouring books

    Hi,
Do you have a Home Bargains near you? They have great party bag stuff, really cheap too. I was there yesterday, lots in stock from funky straws to mini musical recorders. Also Asda have multipacks of blowing bubbles (not sure of the official name!) I always get them for my little boy.
    Hope that helps x

Don't know if the offer is still on, but ASDA were selling 20 bags of their party fillers for £5 about 2 weeks ago. It was not marked at all in my local store, but came off at the till automatically. I think it was online too.

I'm sorted for the next 3 parties at least with a large selection of glowing insects & tiaras:D

Wilkinsons do good value big bags of party bag fillers - boys', girls', or noisemakers - for about £2.50ish for about 50.

Also Home Bargains are good - I was in my local one today and they had boxes of the Asda party bag fillers which were branded as 3 for £5, but HB were selling them for 99p each.

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end
  • Mine have been to two parties where they have loved their parting gift.

The first party the children were given a book wrapped up (the mother bought a multi pack of books age appropriate from Book people, but I gather tesco also do some good cheap books.) and a balloon.

the other the children were all given a dishwasher suitable plastic cup with a piece of cake and an unflated balloon inside.

Those both won over and above the bags with cheap toys in them. I cringe when they come out with party bags and sweets and cheap toys.

My DDs birthday is near xmas so instead of doing bags with plastic toys than just get broken or not even bothered with,we gave a selection box and an xmas card making kit to each child.
My Sainsbury had Spiderman colouring pads with crayons(a carry pack) for 89p in the sale from £3 also did princess ones. or how about an Easter Egg whilst they are on offer nearly everwhere.:)
 Am thinking of a new one:beer:
