Also forgot to say Click finance dissolved in 2006, but the annoying thing was the fact that they still continue with the other loan companies.
This loan was for over 25 years, taken out Nov 2004 and all settled early in July 05.The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Yes, I think all of us will go through this, but the FOS will sort it, they are also telling people to take this direction, so there must be something in it.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

I've spoken with the adjudicator dealing with claims to underwriters, he told me the Ombudsman is in negotiations with the underwriters but nothing had yet been agreed that they would take on the responsibility for the mis selling - it could be months before anything is agreed and it's not guarenteed that the underwriters will agree - so all very much up in the airrobbiewilliams wrote: »Yes it's same as you, awaiting an adjudicator. But meanwhile I have been badgering them on the phone, being the impatient soul I am! How long yours been waiting?0 -
I also spoke to a manager at FOS about this when my rebate complaint was in. I was told that the Ombudsman is "trying" to get insurers to take responsibilty for misselling and it seems that by accepting the complaints they are hopeful this will be the case BUT if you make the unfair rebate complaint (which is a VERY small amount compared to misselling if you win) then you CANNOT make a misselling complaint as well so its really up to the individuals in that they wait (even if its a long time and get ALL the money back) OR they go for the unfair rebate which would be just the rebate of the actual policy and not including any interest on it so a BIG difference in redress.;) Also you have to take into account that even with rebate complaints the wait at FOS could be some time also.
