BT Broadband Usage

Be really grateful if anyone could help.
Since BT have changed their billing system, do they monitor broadband usage as per calender month (like they use to) or per billing cycle?
I don't want to be charged a £1 a GB excess usage and have no idea which it is. Not surprizingly, neither does BT customer services.

Usage is logged per month from the 1st to the last day of each month.You can call the fair use team to check what you have used. 080070760440
