  • Total result - sent a letter to the MD, Chairman etc - had a phonecall from the fitters boss - he has offered to pay me back the money over six months - fair enough - I don't want to bankrupt the guy - so worth the effort.
    Shame you have to get so het up though.
    Not sure why these guys bother having insurance if they never claim off it!

  • Carpet right are crap, I got a carpet from there and wanted it fitting they said yes ok fitting would be x ammount per square meter. The fitter would pick the carpet up from the shop and come and fit it for me. I thought ok, then came the totalling of the bill and it had £35 extra on. I asked why. Oh sir it's your delivery charge.......

    excuse me... delivery charge but you just said the fitter would pick up the carpet from here and fit it of which I was paying a nice price for already. So where has this delivery charge come from....

    long story short they wouldn't waive the fee for delivery. So I cancelled and did it all myself saving a couple of hundred quid. carpetright are jokers, they coudn't even calculate how much gripper rod I needed, they were about 3 meters out.
