Then both lots go in and your liability is discharged at the end of the period. But your mother and your friend stay liable for their bits.

I think Debt Doctor has answered your other question in your other thread.

  • hi everyone

i'm new to all this debt hammering but started about a month ago when a bailiff from rossendales banged on my door two days after my dads funeral. id made a previous agreement with them for £60 a week which to be honest was a bit of a stretch but it was for council tax so me and my missus felt it best to get out of the way. Anyway to the point the day it happened me and my partner were at work and my mother in law was looking after our son. she contacted me at work and told me the bailiff had banged on the door, was very threatening and was saying he was coming back to clear out our house as we had not kept to the previous agreement as we had made about 10 late payments. he repeated this when i phoned, he had come in and taken a levey (walking possession) on us before so we were pretty screwed lol. but we got some advice from some certain agencies, first was the police who took note of what we had said also adding they had received similar complaints about rossendales and directed us to the national debt line. after about two odd weeks of this with complaints to every one which bought us some time i went to the council office and contested about rossendales poor handling of the situation which we had told them about but didnt want to know about, they sorted it in about 10 minuets and said i could carry on with my previous agreement as i hadnt breached it in the first place as i had made one late payment which i had informed them about and made a double payment the next week, not the 10 or so that rossendales claimed. iv now had no hassle from them at all and i have nearly paid it off and looking to the future to be debt free starting whith this one which i was stuiped to get into in the first place.

sorry about the long post i got into a bit of a rant
