Orange don't want to keep me..
Options
I have two contract phone directly with Orange (one's mine and one's my husbands). The current contract I'm on was a Internet offer giving 120 minutes and 30 texts/month for £15 each per month (normal price £25/month). We could have got free phones with that but opted to pay £20 each for Nokia 6210s. We signed up for 12 months initially but the £15 offer runs out after 18 months when we automatically revert to the £25 package.
I don't want to pay more - the price, inclusive minutes and texts suit us both. Orange offered to keep us on that tarrif if we sign up for another 12 months, but not with new phones. I've cancelled our contracts but as we don't line their pockets much every month, they weren't desperate to keep us. I've only got two weeks to find another deal as I've now got the PAC codes and have given notice. Their customer retentions have called twice, but weren't able to offer anything less than £19/month. I'd prefer to be with Orange, O2 or Vodaphone.
We want new phones - something like the Nokia 6210i would suit but we are flexible as long as it has WAP, bluetooth, camera and speakerphone. Any suggestions for a package?

I just got offered 100 "any/any" minutes, 50 off-peak (orange-to-orange only I think) minutes and 100 texts for £20/month. With a free Sony W810. My wife was 200 any/any and 100 off-peak for £25, plus 100 texts, also with the phone.
We're going to take that but I'm going to try and get a K800 which only comes out today on Orange, apparantly. I'll be calling them when I get home.
We aren't exactly mega spenders either, but maybe a bit more than you were.0 -
I don't knowwhat's going on with Orange's system regarding the K800i. Despite their website now having it listed with a price - it's not on the customer relations computer.
I'm waiting to see what Orange will offer me on a upgrade as I've had the same phone since Dec 2004. If they don't please me, I'll get my PAC0 -
I called them last night and was told it's (the K800i) still not on their system, but it's in the warehouse and as soon as it's been put on the system it'll be available to order. She seemed to think it could be literally any time now and advised me to call back the next day, so I'll call again tonight.
She couldn't give me prices until it's on there though.0 -
It's available now, although the website showed out of stock last night, retentions did have them available.
It cost me £29.99 for the phone for each line, one on a £20 plan, one on a £25 plan. Not free like I was hoping but not too bad, especially as we are dropping our plans (they were both £35).
Best bit was the "extra" 50/100 minutes were to be orange-to-orange off-peak only, but the guy said because the K800i is a 3G handset he can actually make them "any/any" which is even better.0
