Best 3G Mobile Broadband PAYG

Hello,
Can people please advise on what they believe to be the best available deals at the moment. Are they all still limited to 3.6Mbps? I understand that in reality 1Mbps is more realistic but are there any capable of higher speeds yet?
The main thing is I want to keep the cost down and I don't want my usage to expire, ie, I don't want to have to use it all within a month, and I think deals like 1GB for £15 really aren't good!
Thanks.

Only Vodafone was offering non-expiring credit and they have stopped that now. I read that if you can get a dongle from before that change they will still honour the older terms and that Amazon are advertising non-expiring. No idea how it would work out though.
Vodafone offer 7.2Mbps too but not all of their cells support it (in fact I doubt that many at all do). I recall somebody saying they could get 5Mbps on their O2 dongle so maybe they do too unless it was on WiFi instead.0 -
if my research is correct this is now use within 30 days or loose it on vodaphoneI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

This is true, 3 have a dongle that has a 12gb data allowance, this expires after 12 months.
No other PAYG broadband has this feature.
Coverage and speed can be patchy with 3 though."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -

Which is currently being upgraded across the country, by the end of this year most if not all masts will be on the 7.2mb/s speed with a coverage of around 98% with only the most remote areas not receiving a signal.0 -
Very light, very infrequent use - the old Vodafone 6 month expiry £15/GB is ideal.
If you can get a decent Three signal, then their 12GB valid for a year is great if you will use it all up. These can be had for £70-80 IIRC? Think mine cost about £95 when I got it 6 months ago.0 -
