Help With Broadband

Hi,

I'm staying temporarily(only for 2 months) in Slough, and am having trouble getting my internet set up. I don't have a phone line, so the best bet is to go with wireless broadband provider like Now Broadband (https://www.now.com) which does not need a phone line. However, I would like to know what other options I could go for? Are there any other similar providers that don't require a phone line and offer a short contract?

Can't say I know of any, even the "now.com" is not available in my area, I take it that you hace checked that Now is available in Slough, looks like it could be your only option.. however, someone may know of another provider. Good Luck

Yeah, I was just wondering if there are any similar providers like them. I've never heard of "now", not until I saw their booth in a shopping complex in Slough (that's how I came to know about their existence).

I actually don't quite understand how that works. Do I just need to get a router and I will be able to surf for free? But when I come to think about it, a router isn't cheap... -_-

you just need wireless in the PC/Laptop and a nearby access point

I do have wifi on my laptop. I did a check on that site you gave me and the nearest access point is 3.86 miles away! There's no way I can access it, right?
