NHS Agenda for Change - really fed up - anyone with any expertise?

Alot of the problems I have seen with Agenda for change have come about when someone compares themselves with what they see as a "lower" role which is banded closer to their. Such as saying cleaners in Band 2 - which is only 1 band below mine. So either cleaners should be in Band1 or I should be in Band 4.
There are still people who have been banded badly with Agenda for Change. We had alot of trouble with our JAQ forms as things kept getting crossed off as admin would say we weren't supposed to do some of the things we did. So the union had them put back on again. We got there in the end though mainly as myself and a couple of others decided on attending the AFC assessors course.Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -
I'm temping with the NHS at Band 4 level and have worked for the NHS perm before at Band 4 also. What really upsets me is I know of someone who is brand new to the NHS & new in post (first payslip received) and she is trying to get her Band 4 job re-graded to a Band 5. Shes only a P.A. & not at director level either. They took me on temp because she couldn't cope with the pressure. And her Manager is supporting her in the re-banding request. I also happen to know shes trying to claim expenses & overtime...What a joke! If she can't cope at Band 4, what the heck is she doing trying to re-grade the job? I've seen her c.v. and admittedly it is very well written but management have already pulled me to one side advising that she is upsetting various people in the PCT. I was very surprised they mentioned that to me actually. She does unfortunately seem to have an attitude problem. I will be extremely upset if she gets this re-banding. If I thought she was brilliant at her job then maybe, but I can't see any outstanding qualities
By the way - pressure. She dosetn't know the meaning of it. This job is a piece of cake - to the point of no challenge, not using brain cells & boring. I've worked in far higher pressured Brand 4 P.A. posts
That's  Qualified nurses are a band 5....not that I am belittling your role, but :eek:0 -

Vader, not sure how you think its a small case of people in the minority suffering from Agenda for Change, in Scotland NHS most people got a letter with their banding being refused but the management still want the pound of flesh for lower grade and wages, no wonder stress sick leave is so high in NHS.If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments.;)
