Talk Talk Traffic Shaping?

Anyone have any knowledge of the above company and there traffic shaping policies?

The salesman was banging on about the unlimited nature but he seemed a bit dodgy regarding any traffic shaping...

The info that is out there is seems contradictory to say the least :(

  • I've never noticed any. I get full line speed no matter what I'm using the pipe for.

If I remember correctly, TalkTalk reduce the bandwidth available to ports associated with P2P software during the peak periods. Outside these peak periods, there is no restriction.

Must have been the same TalkTalk salesman I had standing on my doorstep telling me that if i signed up with him I wouldn't have to pay a cancellation fee to O2 even though I was still within my minimum contract period ;)

    Fat chance..

Needless to say he went away with nothing..
