Looks like you are not an LLU customer with Talk Talk, so you are getting your broadband via BT's network. There are many cases of peoples broadband being throttled due to there being under capacity.
If you have an LLU operator at your exchange ( check on samknows), you might get better performance.
BTW Is your router plugged into the master socket or an extension, as with your line attenuation (35db) I would have expected your download sync speed to be nearer to 8000kbps.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Zen are top notch sued them for 4 years until recently.

If they're that good, why did you sue them?

  • Thank you to everyone for your advice. Much of it is new to me but I'm definitely going to look into the other options available.

  • Also you can't compare Virgin to Talktalk because Virgin use cable and Talktalk use ADSL. So Virgin cable will nearly always be faster, depending on what package you get.

I'm on Talktalk as well and I only get 3Meg, but it's because of where I live.

Talktalk are also in the process of performing Gigabit Backhaul, where all their exchanges are being upgraded with faster connections, so I'm hopeful that this will ease the throttling problem!
