I went to one of these in Derbyshire recently. It was in one large marquee in the car park. They charged between £20.00 and £45.00 for a trolley load of stuff, depending upon how many electrical goods you got. If you got mainly non-electrical stuff, it was more likely to be £25.00 for the trolley full. People that got loads of electrical goods, or stacked them really high, were charged £45.00.

How do Lidl advertise these and how do you get to find out about them. Can you ask Head Office?
  • I've never heard of anything like this! One thing that struck me about my local Lidl shop (Dumfries) is that there is no reduced-to-clear section, either for food or non-food items, and that's one of the reasons I prefer other shops. If my Lidl had sales like this, I could warm to it! As a veteran of many jumble sales, I could probably handle the mad crowds with all the pushing and shoving.

Look in the freezers second half of the day, I have seen things reduced there, they dont seperate, but they have a sticker on them 20% off I think

Are they usually in your local papers? Online? What??
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Our local lidl reduces things reaching their sell by date at the beginning of the day. It used to be by 50% but now it's by 30%. They also put free loafs of bread when they have a lot, and flowers which have seen better days by the window for you to pick up on your way out.
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

The recent one in Acocks Green/Hall Green Birmingham was advertised on their notice board the week before.

I posted it on Grabbit but it got moved to the 'local' England board by he/she who rules !!!

I couldn't get to the sale and would like to know what it was like - if anyone who went would care to post a review.
