Doesn't give much confidence in tunetribe for those of us who haven't used it before. What's the point of a download site if it can't handle a 'bit of traffic'!0

I didn't even get that far!:mad:Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa0 -

tunechecker now working (was down before when i tried) but tunetribe still seem to be down. what a crock!!!
Edit: I reckon its just a ploy to get people to sign up as loads of people will have done this in advance of 1pm. I for one will be unsubscribing.
Why is Tunetribe doing this?
Like many of these promotions its aim is to build its database of customers, and of course implicit in getting the download you have to sign up to it. However that won't cost you anything - though you are likely to get marketing emails.:smileyhea0 -

There could be 5 million people trying to access a site that usually only has a few thousand people trying to access it. Your point is like saying they should build a new motorway serving Glastonbury just for the Glastonbury Festival even if hardly anyone would use it for 51 weeks of the year.0 -

Granted but they should know by the number of MSE members that they were going to be inundated with people. If they didnt think they could handle even a small percentage of the MSE users (let alone those using Tunechecker) they shouldnt have advertised it.:smileyhea0 -

If you make an offer like this, you make DAMN sure your site can cope. It's not like they don't know how many people subscribe to the MSE mail! Someone at tunetribe's going to be in hot waterNBT : Notoriously Bad Typist0
