The question is do you need either policy. You could save the monthly payments in an account to use in the event of a problem.
I can understand the gas cover, especially if your system is getting on a bit, but what exactly do you think is going to go wrong with your house wiring?.
If you want drains and water coverage you could add this to your BG policy. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Penrhyn for your info I would not be without the electrical cover. In the last 2 years I have had a socket replaced that cracked, another socket replaced and checked as it burnt( I had too many appliances plugged in) and also a dimmer switched replaced. For someone like me I like to know if anything goes wrong I'm covered. I've also have the plumbing cover and have used this twice. Once they needed to cut a hole in my downpipe which would have cost a lot to get done locally.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

The OP has homecare300 which is heating and plumbing and drains. They made no mention of have electrical wiring care. If I've read correctly, they mean they have their Energy from BG?It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

But how much have you paid in 2 years for this electrical cover? Replacement of a socket or dimmer switch is a few minutes work for a DIY man, it doesn't require an electrician. Odds are your premiums far outweigh the cost of getting these things fixed as they arise. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
So anyone think I have dual cover and should cancel UU?0

I believe it's £3 a month extra on top of the other cover so that makes £72 - a good deal for meSelf Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0 -
