macerator loo?

My brother in law's got one of these macerator loo things and it's as noisy as hell! Each time you flush it sounds like it's about to launch your poo into outer space and probably would if there was an open pipe pointing in that direction.
I was considering one of these myself for our en-suite which has never had a loo in it but have been put off by the noise. I like to do big jobs discreetly without waking up the whole house and half the street each time.0 -
