What you guys moaning about OSX is covered in "other". Cant even do a quick poll without those sweaty polo-neck wearers whinging about something, mac users are 5 times more annoying than Linux users!

I did think REXX was 30 years ahead of its time for an interpreted language
REXX is cross platform - I have a PC editor called KEXX which is identical to the XEDIT CMS editor and runs REXX macros. I use the editor for maintaining all my html/php source and find REXX invaluable for all sorts of things.

I'm still working on mainframes (opsys being z/OS which still looks more or less the same as MVS to the end user)

Linux, I am using Puppy lighthouse which is excellent.

Windows 7 is very easy to use.
The Arm based Acorns were quite nice and Amigas were ace ,both with similar dragging and dropping installation type OS but not very well supported in the end. We still have our Amigas packed away.
ZX spectrum was my first machine and I was very comfortable with the little rubber keyboard.

Whilst the lack of Mac OSX makes me very sad, I think it's safe to assume that most of us other voters are Macheads

I think your assumption is incorrect.

I voted other and my favourite is HP-UX. Probably because it was the first version of Unix I encountered.

Mt other chovie would be MVS as I spent a lot of my working life working on MVS (and DOS/VSE).

Out of the various flavours of Windows I've used I 'd say I prefer Windows 7 with 95 in second place. XP was OK but it was riddled with bugs when it was launched. Personally I never had much of a problem with Vista but it never seemed very special either.

We are showing our ages aren't we ;) I am going off to look for Kexx if only for the nostalgia .

Certainly are showing our ages. I remember using REXX a lot at one time. It was a big improvemnt on TSO clists and panels for the sort of things we needed to do.

HP-UX 11i, Solaris 10, Redhat Linux, OS X, Vista, SUSE Linux.

(I would probably like Windows 7, but my "upgrade" install refuses to go from Vista Home to Win 7 Pro, so it's just a coaster at the moment. And Vista won't let me upgrade to Ultimate to see if that'll let me go to Win 7 Pro.)
