Changing From PAYG to Contract

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper I've been Money Tipped!
Little sister has asked me a question and I don't know the answer but I'm sure some nice MoneySaver will be able to advise.

Currently little sis works with Vodafone PAYG but believes she is paying to much and that a contract could be cheaper. Contract wise she would be thinking about £15 £20 tops.

She likes to use text but couldn't see her using more than thirty in the week.

As most of her friends already have her mobile number she would want to hold on to it, which I understand is quite doable

So where should she go: Vodafone contract or would she be safer going somewhere else. If she goes from Vodafone PAYG to contract is there any deal/goodies she should look for.

Many thanks
Kevin

I am an O2 customer and kept my number when I changed from PAYG to contract and because I left the UK, I wanted to cancel my contract and managed to change it to PAYG whilst keeping the original number.

I was on O2 Simplicity at £20 a month and didn't need to spend any extra :-)

    Hope that's of some use.
