Hi there, was wondering if anyone could offer a few pointers for me.

I upgraded my contract about a year ago to an 18 month contract of MyFaves 45. This includes unlimited calls, texts and picture messages to 5 people as well as 400 texts and 200 minutes to anyone who isn't your 5 people for £45 a month.

I have a web'n'walk booster for about £7 and go over my allowances to other people quite a lot so my bills are usually about the £75 mark including the £3.00 charge for paying by non-DD method.

I'm completely happy with this as my bills are always around the same, and I do use my mobile a lot (last bill was about 3000 minutes of calls and about 700 texts) and this seemed to be the best plan at around 2500 of those minutes are to the same 5 people.

T-mobile have just sent me a letter saying that from march they will be moving me onto the flext 100 price plan which costs £100 a month for £775 worth of any combination of calls or texts.

Although this allows to make the same amount of calls without going over my allowances my bills will now be somewhere in the £120 region a month because of the webnwalk booster paying by non-dd method and various calls which aren't to 01/02/07 numbers such as my telephone banking etc.

Can they really legally do this halfway through my contract? I'm stuck in it till September but isn't this such a drastic change that I can perhaps cancel my contract? I fail to see how it is offering a like for like service considering it's going to be somewhere in the region of £45 a month more expensive for the exact same service.

Any help is rly appreciated.

They cant swap your tariff mid contract without your permission.

Either you agree to it, or they cancel your contract early at no charge.

  • It is true there are a few price plans that are basically being totally removed. But if you call up T-mobile you are going to save alot of money compared to what you are paying just now. for example i would possibly offer you - 600 minutes to call other networks and landlines + Unlimited Texts to UK mobiles & Landlines + Unlimited T-Mobile Calls + Unlimited Internet - all for £35pm and possibly less if you would be eligable for a line rental discount. // The Flext that they have offered to put you on includes w'n'w + all your 0845 0870 0800 numbers included in the allowance. Call up Customers Services in the UK ( ask to cancel ) and see what they can offer you.
  • yup i back up insider.... call up loyalty via 150 and make em work. ;)
does my bum look big in this sig?
