I had a door to door salesman sell me the International 3 package with free broadband , my line was connected in early June and when I called to find out when the broadband would be set up they said probably July/August. I waited and tried the tracker online with no joy. I then sent an email which generated a reply to say I would have a response in 5 days in mid June. I chased early July and was then told that braodband was not in my area (the salesman didn't advise of this !) and that there would be a further cost of £10 a month. I spoke to a supervisor who said to call back and dial option 4 an hour later and very angry I hung up. I have contacted the onbudsman and he said I must follow the complaints procedure so a recorded delivery letter went off on Friday.
And by the way the phone line is now playing up and I cannot talk to anyone to get it sorted out. 18 months is going to be a very long time.0 -
We have been using the TT service for calls for over a year. All my family are on it, so we save HUGE!! My mum lives in Wales and I live in Kent. We phone each other nearly every day and dont pay a penny!
Have not had any problems with them to date! (Touch wood!!)

But are you not paying for the priviledge in your package rental.:D
You can phone anyone in UK on a 01/02 number not just someone on TT for 3p a call at peak rate by using https://www.1899.com
You can phone anyone in UK on a 01/02 number FREE at Evenings and Weekends using Primus Saver 2 whatever supplier they use.
You dont pay for these packages so if i your on holiday or away you dont pay nowt.It doesnt matter if the person you are calling changes supplier.Everybodys your Family and Friend!!!:T0 -

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=234453Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
When they first started out in the landline business they were very good, however when they started out in broadband and even now their broadband service is dreadful, their CS has become a joke, and their phone service has been getting worse and worse, no longer the value for money it was.
TalkTalk are just a joke nowadays, and should be avoided at all costs. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
My wife recently accepted an offer by british gas to be sent info on the talk talk option 2 unfortunately they also asked for our bank details and my wife gave them, we were supposed to receive an info package and then had 14 days to decide on whether to transfer, no sign of info pack and a couple of days ago we received a letter from BT stating that our account was to be transfered to another company namely talk talk, we called bt and cancelled this but have tried for two days to contact talk talk on different numbers with some calls lasting 45 mins before being cut off, to say that i'm really !!!!!! off with this company would be an understatment and i will never recommend them to anybody or use this company ever again. :mad:0

Don't - I repeat don't touch this company. By far the worst company I have ever dealt with.
None existent customer service that ignores any emails/calls/letters but very good at sending out bills.
Any savings you manage to make will be beaten by tel calls and time if you ever have to deal with their "customer services". remember you will have to do that when they make any of THEIR frequent and common errors.

Been with the company for about a month, perfect service, broadband was activated 7 weeks early.
Customer service is pretty crap though, always use the 0800 number, you queue jump :P0
