E Boo Boos - Ebay Misspellings for Bargains

I came across eboobos.com and wondered if anyone had used it. It helps you to find misspelt items on Ebay which due to their lack of searchability end up selling very cheaply or not at all. I just typed in Clarks Boots as an experiment and got 19 results with a very low number of bids or none at all in most cases. Is this a good way to pick up cheap items to resell later on? (Correctly spelt and categorised of course).

Sorry i'm not understanding how Clarks boots brought up what you said because if you mean as in the shoe brand then thats the correct spelling.

But yeah you are right misspelt stuff is def worth checking.

I noticed someone selling some Irregular Choice shoes yesterday, listed as Imesulan Choice because they obviously couldn't read the shoebox properly! They went for hardly anything!
  • TBH, I have a common misspelling/ typo search for a certain product set up and it came up with over a hundred listings.

This site caught 30, so I think you're better doing it yourself. ;)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

  • I've used the Fat Fingers site a few times & it's been pretty good for bargains.

Leanne 200, it searches for misspelt versions of what you've typed in. :) If that doesn't make sense (which I'm not sure it does..... lol) then give it a try and see if that helps. :)

Turkish - do you do that through ebay? If you do then do you mind if I ask you to explain how to do it? lol save me going through a 3rd party site! :rotfl:

    Yep on ebay.
You just try and figure out what people might put, and then put them in brackets with commas between the terms (like, this, or this)

Then there's a save this search link at the top.
Once you've got it saved you can search from the my saved searches link along the side. :)

The best bit about it for me is that it doesn't interfere with my cashback cookie which these other sites do. :o

  • Great Turkish, thanks! :) Will give it a try later! Got a heap of weddings and 21st's this year and have been very lucky before with people misspelling colours etc for dresses/shoes/bags ;) Best thing is I can wear it then re-sell it on ebay to raise funds to buy a new one!!!! What did I do before ebay?????

That's almost like having an "ology" so I'm well pleased! Anyway the Clarks example was pretty rubbishy I must admit. I tried again with Playstation and it came up with loads of misspelt listings.
  • thanks for this never thought about searching for spelling mistakes got my eye on a lovely dress which im hoping may escape the majority as its mis spelt -x-

  • I've found a lovely pair of shoes in my size, only 99p. Fingers crossed no-one else sees the listing before bidding ends today.
