3 contract and pac code
i contacted 3 to reduce my payment plan as my contract ends in april and i was going to pay it off in february and go with another network. i requested a pac code so i could keep my number when i changed over. i have now been sent a bill from 3 with an £89 cancellation fee on it. at no time was i ever told that by requesting the pac code i was cancelling my contract. this is what they are telling me, even though i never said it to them. as far as i was aware i had to put it in writing that i wanted to cancel the contract.

If you ask for pac code from any network - its telling your intention to leave within 30 days. 30 days is the time you have to use that PAC code.
So if you do not want to cancel yet, tell them so. When you get closer the end date - ask for the 30 days again and use it within 30 days, contract will end then.0
