Watch put for the T-Mobile rip off

I have just queried my T-mobile bill for this month and it appears they are going to charge per voicemail call and there is no way of getting a set monthly price for this.

It seems that in asking the many questions I asked in December when they were presenting me with this fantastic shiny £30 per month deal that I didn't ask if they were going to charge me for getting my voicemail. Now we are stuck on a 2-year deal that is not as good as it was first presented.

I will not be using T-mobile in future because they are underhand. They won't be getting any voicemail money from me either because I will be recording a message to inform people to leave a message at a different number because T-Mobile are rip -off merchants.

I regret leaving my £10 a month Virgin contract for this shambles!

Just dial your own number to pick up your voicemail. It will come out of your calls allowance.

See my thread below. Since a number change this is no longer working for me.

Most people with contracts had flext which did actually include voicemail? The new tariffs that came out on the first of this month, do not include voicemail. However any tariff old or new, should let you have a voicemail booster for £2.50 a month. £2.50 a month gives you unlimited voicemail. It is on their website.

    good luck

Can't find these on the updated website, are you sure they are still doing them since the tariff changes yesterday? Maybe it's just me being thick and not looking in the right place, lol!

if you google "Text UVLM to 879" it comes up with the reference.

It appears they've updated the page but the google cache from 24 hours ago says:

Unlimited Voicemail Booster £2.50 Unlimited voicemail retrieval for a month Text UVLM to 879 Excludes voicemail retrieval when travelling abroad.

My suggestion would be to give it ago or phone up Customer Services and ask.

Have to admit voicemail retrieval costs annoy me as well. I'll be leaving T-Mobile at the first opportunity (ie July).

The current page does not have "Text UVLM to 879" - so have they done away with the £2.50 voicemail booster?
  • If they have, try http://www.hullomail.com which works like a charm! It takes minutes from your inclusive allowance when people call you, and when you call it, rather than charging 12p, so as long as you have some minutes to spare it's perfect.

Even better for iPhone/Blackberry/Android users as you can pick up voicemails through its 'Visual Voicemail' app which uses your email account for storage, and your data plan to send the message, so no need to use minutes to call it.
    Hope that helps,

    Mark

  • Hey thanks Marksaver.

I have just signed up. Although I only have 100 mins free I don't tend to use very much per month so this should prove invaluable. If it works well for me then I'll get my wife signed up.
