  • Nothing surpises me about BG, we've just bought a house that had a prepayment meter. Phoned them about getting it changed and although they did a credit check on me (which was OK) on the phone they said that someone would phone me within a week to arrange the fitting of the credit meter. Two weeks later I phoned them again about this matter and I was told that they had so many calls coming in they weren't phoning anyone back. It makes me wonder how long they were going to try to make me keep their rip off meter if I had waited for them to call me. What was all this tripe about BG customer service being the best? Hey ho, time to change supplier I think

    I suffered from this problem (no unit rates). It was very annoying, but it appears to have been resolved now. I can see the bills which didn't have the unit rates on online, and they now have said unit rates.
