On another forum a poster claims that all Sony Blu-ray players are really rebranded Panasonic Blu-ray players?

As for bluray players, Sony INVENTED them. So the last thing thats going to happen is Sony rebranding somone elses blu ray player

Aye Sony do rebrand a lot of lower end stuff, and will use parts made by other companies (I wouldn't be surprised if Sony use a third party drive mechanism for their players, or at least the cheaper ones).
However I don't think they are quite as bad as just rebranding a whole player
P.S.
I though Sony where just one of the main companies behind Blu-ray, not the ones that did all the work?0
