Do Sony rebrand Panasonic Blu-ray players???????

On another forum a poster claims that all Sony Blu-ray players are really rebranded Panasonic Blu-ray players?

Can anyone please confirm?

    Not 100%, but few models do use same components to 80% of contents

    As for bluray players, Sony INVENTED them. So the last thing thats going to happen is Sony rebranding somone elses blu ray player
    The Sonys for the price are still the best bluray players going

    Sony did rebrand Liteon DVD/CD Players at one time Rik.

    Not sure about Blu Ray tho';)

    Aye Sony do rebrand a lot of lower end stuff, and will use parts made by other companies (I wouldn't be surprised if Sony use a third party drive mechanism for their players, or at least the cheaper ones).

    However I don't think they are quite as bad as just rebranding a whole player :p


    P.S.
    I though Sony where just one of the main companies behind Blu-ray, not the ones that did all the work?
