I have some of the freebie SIMs that Virgin were giving away a few months ago. Does anyone know if these can still be activated or do they expire after a certain period?

they will probably expire after a year or so
(the recent o2 sims expire in april 2007,just to give you an idea)0 -
I found my old virgin sim card, which i hadn't used for over 2 years, it still had the 67p that was on it when i last used it, so i don't think they hurry to cut them off!0

They will still work. I've just started using one of the free sims that I received a few months ago. Thought I may as well use them up first before I pay out for a top up.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

I have one of the "£5" virgin sims given away a few months ago (unused) that I just put it in a new phone and it works fine.Join the Sarcasm Appreciation Society.

my point was that if they haven't disconnected an unused sim after 2 years, then i doubt they would disconnect an unactivated sim after a couple of months, but I guess the best way to find out is to actually activate one if you plan to use them0 -
I have just activated a SIM from (I think) 2003! So you should be OK for SIMs a few months old.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll pass the SIMs on with confidence. I don't think they come with any credit. They were, after all, free.0
