Advice on Cleaning expensive shoes

I couldn't think where else to post this, so apologies in advance if it is in the wrong place.
I bought a pair of Jacques Vert shoes and matching bag for my nephew's wedding - half price in Debenhams sale in true MSE style. The shoes are cream with a lilac flower design and the material is polyester. Having only worn them once, and not likely to again, I wanted to sell them on Ebay, but the shoes have some marks due to the inclement weather on the day.
Can anyone advise the best way to clean them please?
Thanks

Hi,
Have you tried posting this on the old style board, they have some cleaning wizards on there who would probably know what you can use.

My O.H once went on a night out and his friend threw up all over his silk/polyester mix tie..
It sounds crazy..but I got rid of the stains by using a cloth soaked in vodka, and dabbing at it. Then used a hairdryer to dry it..
worth a try?Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -

LOL! What made you think of using Vodka?! I suppose anything is worth a try though.
