They will come after you for the outstanding money. Better to pay the £15pm than get a black mark.

  • no, dont cancel your direct debit!
Like Spiro said, they will come after you and it will wreck your credit rating.
I dont think its worth it, just pay the £15 per month or phone up and downgrade to the next cheapest tariff and pay it off or let it take the money out monthly. (Does orange have tariffs lower than £15 per month?)
  • They will put a default on your credit file, sell the debt to a debt collection agency, and generally screw you for 6 years. The end debt will also be more than 4x£15 once they've all finished adding charges.

  • ah right, no i dont think there is a lower one, what should i do now? when my bill comes? just make a payment through the orange website?
  • You can tell them you want to cancel the contract and pay the remaining months off. so it'll be 4 x £15... but i dont see the rush in paying it all off at once, even though it might ONLY be £60.

But it'll be the same thing if they took it off £15 per month for the next 4 months. You phone up in your 3rd month saying i want to cancel the contract so they disconnect you.
Thats still gonna be £60 but easier to accept since its broken down over 4 months.

Just depends how you see it or can financially afford it.
