  • hello all

having bit of a poo day. got letter from tax credits yesterday querying my childcare. It seems as though they have overpaid me. I wrote to them in May but they didnt reduce. Cancelled childcare completely in Oct but they didnt stop paying until end of October. I only ever claimed for school holidays and dont have any receipts at all if they want to take it further. I know I have been overpaid from May to November but worried they will now dig deeper and cause I have no proof, they may hunt me down :(. Hate claiming any benefits....honestly think it would be better not to bother, its more hassle than its worth, especially for a paperwork phobic like me who always forgets to do things or do them in a timeous manner.

Worked out all my Jan spreadsheets last night and not amused. Over the month, over spent by the following

    Groceries - 114.75
    Treats - 10.08
    Petrol - 32.80
    Clothes - 31.80
Other (+) 70.47 (bingo win putting me in credit for this section)
    Utilities - 30.00

    Total overspend for Jan 148.96

Most annoyed about the groceries as it is almost double what my original budget and it was all spend in the last week of the month. Petrol I think is about right and will need to be adjusted properly on the budget but will see how Feb (and prob March) goes first.

    - today meet friend for lunch for much needed shoulder to cry on
    - make PAD of 43.32
    - post another debt letter and GHD complaint letter should have done weeks ago....see....me and paper work again.
    - update sig

Anyway, thats me......am off as having a moany day and dont want to keep lowering the tone :(

Well I have had a bit of a pants time after hearing from solicitor , but thats another storey. I shall sulk for a week and move on.

    My efforts :
    • Check online banking - new account for christmas savings now online.
    • Accepted by pinecone , thanks Bagpuss
    • Had home made lentil soup for lunch and tea will be from stores.
    • walked to post office and back so saved £2.40 bus fare, free excercise
    • Posted letter to solicitor and drafted complaint.
    • posted item sold on ebid yesterday - I can't belive the increase in sales there and must list more.
    • Heating on timer and turned down to low
    • washing on 30 , drying on airer
    • Called GP on low cost number but was in a queue for nearly 30 minutes for a 2 minute call , so wont be that cheap !
    • will do some competitions when im a bit less sulky
    • check for online surveys.
I'm a bit fed up this week as holiday from work , usually do a bit of agency work but had to pack that in a couple of weeks ago. I hate having to entertain myself . Oh well at least its not snowing.
