Orange Delivery Receipt Charge

Just a note of caution - with orange I have inadvertantly put on my delivery receipt for text messages. I am on unlimited texts - but because they say delivery receipt is not a text they charge you one pence per delivery r. I got my bill with £21 quid for delivery receipt charges for one month - so be careful they are not included in your package.
I called them and they credited it - the lady told me she has loads of complaints about this - orange have a tiny bit in their T&C's which states charges will be made. Very Crafty !

Orange have charged 1p on delivery reports for along time, it is something that does surprise alot of people, like yourself i have turned mine off. If i do leave orange I will turn them back on as i do like to have them on.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
I think it's been like this since about 2006 / 2007 when they introduced animal plans.
o2 apparentlly -unless they've changed recently - don't support SMS reports (unless you type *0# as the first 3 characters in your SMS)
otherwise other networks don't charge I think.

As previously said its in the T&C's and they are providing an extra service so they are within their rights to charge. Its like asking the royal mail to deliver a letter on a recorded/special delivery service and charge the first class stamp rate.0
