T-Mobile upgrades on new tariffs

Has anyone tried for an upgrade on the new tariffs that started today?
I'm due in three weeks and would really like to know what others are being offered. Currently the Nokia N86 on Virgin £25 a month 18 months seems like a great deal to me and I was wondering if they would match this (or better it) to save the hassle of porting the number. Any other suggestions would be helpful, thought about one of the HTC phones but have a friend who has had a lot of bother with one (DON'T KNOW WHICH MODEL) and that has kind of put me off. Has anyone got the t-mobile branded phone, which I believe is also an HTC?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm terrified of being stuck with another crap phone like the disastrophe I got last time, all other suggestions gratefully welcomed, just need a decent camera, music, radio and a decent sized screen for internet, gps would als be good.

T-Mobile offer the G2 Touch which is the HTC Hero. This got the phone of the year award from many sites/magazines etc last year.0
