Fast Paymests (FPO) Online

I recently made a Fat Payment to a company, and the amount was debited immediately. 2 days later, I called the company to deliver the service, and apparently they say they have not yet received the payment. I confirmed the account details i used with them, and everything was OK. I called my bank and the bank said the payment went thru and the money went into that account. The company still insist they dont have my payment and its not showing in their statements.
I have shown the company my bank statements, but they say they cant rely on my statements. This was an online transaction so i dont have any receipt.
I am puzzled and i dont know what to do, cos I am making losses and my plans are in shambles because of this.
How can I approach this situation?

Sorry that was supposed to be Fast Payment.
This was an instant payment and the money was debited immediately from my account. I didnt expect it to take more that a day for it to show up in their statements.
Could this be some kind of fraud? What actions can i take? If they insist they didnt receive it, what options do i have? Am i doomed?0 -
Sorry I shouldn't laugh but it sounded cool.
Assuming it was fast payment and your bank was correct in that the recipient should have received it already, then you might need to follow up the formal complaints procedure of the company - assuming they have one. Have you allowed more than 3 days since sending payment? Triple check again you sent it to the correct account with the correct reference number.
The Office of Fair Trading may be your other line of support if the company still insists they haven't received it and you and your bank claim you have sent it.0 -
Does it show as FP against the debit on your online account? If not ..... it's odds on it's gone via BACS and that will take 3 days to hit their Bank account and possibly an extra day for them to allocate it to your account. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0

Don't banks usually charge for instant payments. Were you charged? Could be you or the bank misinterpretted your wishes in terms of transaction speed?0

Who do you bank with?
A&L for example, when sending funds it debits from your account straight away but there is know way of telling whether it has been sent by fast payments or bacs. It won't even show on the statement for a day or two.0 -
My bank (LloydsTSB) doesnt charge for fast payments. Its indicated as FPO on my statement meaning it went through as a Fast Payment not BACS. And once again i confirm, the money was taken immediately. I called the bank and they confirmed it went thru as a Fast Payment (i have used this for a lond time) and according to them they did as per my instruction and the money went to the recepient account details i provided.0

Its showing on my statement already, and as i said, I called the lloydstsb and they confirmed the money left to the recepient account and they only suspected that i used wrong account details (which i confirmed with the company were correct)0 -
What's the company you're trying to send money to if you don't mind me asking?0

Ask Lloyds to put a trace on the payment. Effectively they have this already as the recipient Bank will have confirmed receipt (it's part of the FP protocol) to Lloyds. So ask them for the detail ..... then go back to the payee if it ties in to the Sort Code / Account they gave. I take it you included your name - or whatever - as the Reference ........ otherwise how does the company involved trace the payment back to you?If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
